Established in 1958, Zhongtong Bus began producing buses in 1971 and was publicly listed in 2000. As one of China’s earliest bus manufacturers, the company boasts a production facility spanning 471,000 square meters, with an annual capacity of 30,000 large, medium, and light-duty buses. To date, Zhongtong has produced and sold over 300,000 buses, including more than 100,000 new energy buses.

Zhongtong Bus is home to several nationally accredited innovation platforms, including a national enterprise technology center, a national industrial design center, a CNAS-certified testing laboratory, an academician workstation, and a postdoctoral research center. Collaborating with top universities and research institutions across China, the company focuses on advancements in bus safety, energy efficiency, and new energy technologies. With more than 500 authorized patents, Zhongtong has contributed to the development of numerous national standards and has undertaken 19 key national and provincial R&D projects, including the “863 Program,” the National New Energy Vehicle Innovation Project, and other major government-backed initiatives.

Zhongtong Bus offers a diverse product lineup, covering six major categories with over 140 models, including city buses, long-distance coaches, tourist coaches, corporate transport vehicles, school buses, and specialized vehicles, ranging from 5.5 to 27 meters in length. Its products are sold in more than 100 countries and regions worldwide.
